September 11th was a difficult time for the U.S. and could be seen by anyone who remembers. The attack is shown to be devastating to every person in the country at the time, not just family and friends of those who died, in history books. A remark by President Obama makes it seem like September 11th was not as difficult as it really was. Liz Cheney rebukes President Obama for what he claims about the attack.
What exactly was this President Obama made?
President Obama put into words his feelings on terrorist attacks, such as the September 11th attack. Bob Woodward
showed in his new book, “Obama Wars,” President Obama stating:
We can absorb a terrorist attack. We’ll do everything we can to prevent it, but even a 9/11, the biggest attack ever… we absorbed it and we are stronger.”
This statement made Dick Cheney’s daughter really mad. His daughter is Liz Cheney.
Now for Cheney’s comment
Liz Cheney was outraged by this statement on the part of President Obama. She felt like America is in danger with Obama in control. He won’t be using all of his power and resources to protect America like he should. She called for an explanation from Obama about this.
As outlined by Columbia Broadcasting System News, she said:
Americans expect our President to…use everyeach tool at his disposal to find, defeat, capture and kill terrorists. We expect him to…make it clear to our adversaries that an attack on the United States will carry devastating consequences. Instead, President Obama is reported to have said, ‘We can absorb a terrorist attack.’ This comment suggests an alarming fatalism on the part of President Obama… The President owes the American people an explanation.
Some want an explanation from Obama
Many other individuals would like an explanation to the Obama terror attack comment that was made. Bilal of 12 News wants to know why the president would ever say that. He wanted to know why the United States president would not use every little thing he had to stop the terrorist attacks also. You will find also individuals just wondering why Obama would make that comment. Seems like like he is attempting for making America the center of a terrorist attack. Then there is Mitch Marconi. He thinks that everyone is just overreacting to the comment because of the joy they get in criticizing the Obama administration with Cheney. Either way, some kind of explanation is expected from Obama within the near future.
